As you begin this Learning Community, remember that this is a journey - culture change takes time; a Learning Community is not a quick fix, or out the box solution. It is a process. Take time with each section, allowing space to reflect, discuss and plan with your team. It’s often helpful to revisit previous sections, seeing what you have progressed with and what still needs attention.

The Learning Community has four key sections:

  • Disciple-Making Culture

    • What can we learn from how Jesus made disciples?

  • Leader-Developing Culture

    • How did Jesus develop leader-developing leaders?

  • Community Engagement & Impact

    • Enabling people in mission, creating space for others to have a go in a supportive environment

  • Mission Orientation & Activation

    • Looking beyond ourselves to work with other churches & organisations

It’s really important throughout this Learning Community to create space to listen to what God is saying - to you, and to your team.

Team Exercise:

Use the matrix below to reflect - honestly and hopefully - where you are at the moment. Look back over the last year and consider your strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats, and name your reality

Pause and take time to share - as a team - what God is saying to you. Note down common themes, and begin to ask questions of one another as you process what God is saying.
